P.o.V. Kelly
I woke to a crash. I shivered suddenly. Someone had let in a blast of
chilly winter air. I checked the clock beside the couch. It read 2 AM. A
few seconds later I heard someone curse. I grabbed the nearest thing to
me: an easel. I quietly made my way towards the noise. That was when I
heard the foot steps and saw the shadow rounding the corner. I ducked
into a door way. I held my breath then stepped into the intruder's path
and raised my easel. At the sight of my weapon, the figure screamed.
"Are you trying to kill me?" the person asked.
I recognized the voice and immediately felt bad. I ran into the
outstretched arms of the figure.
"I'm so sorry!" I apologized. "I didn't
know who you were. What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be
on tour?" I asked my the intruder, also known as my boyfriend Ellington
Lee Ratliff.

"Did
the tour get cancelled? Is something going on that I don't know about?"
she asked. "No, the tour wasn't cancelled. Everything is fine. We have a
few days in LA before we go to Washington. I wanted to stop in and say
hi. The others are at home. We just go back and I thought I'd come and
see you first," I told her.
She gave me a mega watt smile indicating
that she had bought the lie I'd told. R5 hadn't broken up, but there
were some things to worry about. During the tour, I did something I
regret, though I'm not really sure if I do regret it. It was an
accident. It just… happened. *Flash back* It was a beautiful evening.
The sun was setting and the view was amazing. Rydel Lynch and I were
sitting on the beach in Long Island watching the sun go down.
"It's
beautiful, isn't it," she said.
"Yeah. I wish it could stay like this
forever," I replied. I looked over at her. Her hair was rustling because
of the slight breeze. Rydel watched her father and brothers playing
football in the sand. She was so pretty, especially with those heart
shaped sunglasses and her hair floating in the wind.

*FLASHBACK
CONT. I shook the thought from my head. I loved Kelly, not Rydel.
"The
sunset's pretty, but your prettier," I muttered. As soon as it escaped
my mouth I regretted it.
"You think I'm prettier than this sunset?" she
asked, shocked.
"Yes," I thought.
"You know I've always liked you, ever
since we met in that dance studio back in Northridge."
She had liked me
for five years and I had no clue. I felt stupid. Her hand lay next to my
knee. I couldn't resist the urge to touch it.
"What are you doing?"
Riker asked. He had ventured back to the blanket to grab a water bottle.
"Nothing," Rydel told her brother.
Riker turned his back to them and
went to join his brothers. I watched him leave. Then it hit me. Not
necessarily it, but Rydel's gorgeous lips. They hit me straight on the
mouth. I was stunned, but even though it was so wrong, it felt so right.
*END OF FLASHBACK* A voice interrupted my train of thought.
"Do you
want to watch a movie?"
"Sure," I replied.
She turned on the TV, but I couldn't focus. All I could think about was
my kiss with Rydel.
