All About The Girl: A Kellington FanFic ~ Part 4 - 5

Part 4! [][][][][][][][][] P.o.V. Kelly
I do enjoy Ellington's company, especially since I hadn't seen him in what seemed like forever, but all of this didn't feel right. Usually he's more quirky, but sitting next to him, he looked as if he were in a daze. He nodded a bit when I commented on the movie, but he didn't seem focused.
About an hour into the Law & Order marathon, I realized that he had come straight to visit me, not his parents. I muted the TV.
"Is something up with you and your parents? You came straight here," I stated. Ellington turned towards me.
"Everything's great with them. I just didn't feel like going home right away."
"Oh. It's almost dawn, I think you should go back to Mark and stay there until your parents wake up. Besides, my parents will be up soon and you know what they'll think of this."
"Just a few more minuets," he said.
That caught me by surprise. He always loved going to stay over at the Lynch house. Maybe something was up with him and the other guys? Or Rydel? "Scratch that," I thought. Rydel would tell me if something were up with Ratliff, wouldn't she?

I was up getting a snack when I heard a quiet knock on the door. It was almost impossible to hear through the thunder, lightning, and rain. It was five in the morning and a giant storm was brewing. No one ever bothered to come by this early and no one would be stupid enough to come in this weather. Despite the warnings in my head, I opened the door. I was shocked to see Ratliff soaked to the bone, standing at my door. He looked miserable and well, like a wet rat.
"Woah, dude! What happened to you?" I asked.
"Well, after we got back, I headed to Kelly's. We hung out. Then I left and came here. Can I come in? I feel like a wet rat," Ellington replied.
"Oh. Sorry, come in."
He walked right to the bathroom and came out a few minuets later with a towel.
"You look awful!" I said, though it might not have been the best thing to say at that moment.
"I feel awful too. Can I crash here for a few hours?"
"Sure." I never minded when Ratliff came for a surprise visit. I gave him a heap of blankets and went to my room to go back to sleep. Before entering my room, I turned to look at Ratliff. Something wasn't right and I could tell. I decided to wait to ask him about later. I didn't think he could have handled it. He looked ready to burst.
